The effectiveness of modern methods of treating benign diseases of the mammary glands in women with pathology of the genital organs

Abstract

Purpose of the study. To determine the effectiveness of modern methods of treating MGD in women with pathology of the pelvic organs.

Material and research methods. The study material included 290 patients with benign neoplasms of the mammary glands who sought medical help at the gynecological department of the Institute of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of Dushanbe in the period from 2015 to 2022. The first group consisted of 127 (main group) patients with dishormonal diseases of the mammary glands in combination with pelvic inflammatory disease, the second group consisted of 163 (comparison group) patients with dishormonal diseases of the mammary glands in combination with benign ovarian tumors.

Research results and discussion. Therapy in the groups was based on the factors on which MGD developed: in the first group, patients were examined for STIs and bacterial cultures were taken. Therapy included antibacterial therapy, taking into account the identified infectious agent and sanitation of lesions. In group II, treatment consisted of removal of true ovarian tumors, the restoration of the cycle for which they received the COC Lindinet -20 for 3-6 months. The results of the study showed that in the process of complex therapy, positive dynamics in the condition of the mammary glands was observed in patients of both study groups. By the end of the first year of observation, improvement was noted in the prevailing majority of patients in both groups: 96/75.5±3.8% and 134/82.2±3.0%, respectively, in groups I and II.

Conclusion. Considering the large-scale and diverse background of the occurrence of mastopathy, it is necessary to note the absence of a unified scheme for pathogenetic therapy of MGD. Therefore, treatment should be aimed at the factors, causes, or combination thereof that led to the development of mammary gland pathology.
